How to Create a Bootable USB Drive

Gather Your Materials

Before you start, gather a USB drive (minimum 8GB), a computer, and the operating system ISO file.

Download Rufus Software

2.

Search and download Rufus, the free and reliable software to create a bootable USB drive.

Run Rufus and Insert USB

3.

Open Rufus and insert your USB drive into the computer.

Choose the ISO File

4.

Select the downloaded ISO file by clicking the "SELECT" button in Rufus.

Configure Settings

Choose the partition scheme and file system. For most systems, "MBR" and "FAT32" work best.

Start the Process

6.

Double-check your settings, then click "START" to begin creating the bootable USB drive.

Wait for Completion

7.

Wait for Rufus to complete the process. It may take a few minutes.

Safely Eject USB

8.

Once Rufus finishes, safely eject the USB drive from your computer.

Boot from USB

9.

Now, insert the bootable USB into the target system and boot from it. Follow on-screen instructions to install the OS.

Complete Installation

10.

Proceed with the OS installation process as usual, and you're done!
